I grew up in the Chugach mountains of Southcentral Alaska and now live in Juneau, Alaska. I have a BA in biology from Whitman College where I also studied creative nonfiction. I have worked as a food writer, features writer, environmental scientist and science writer. I am candid, particular and observant. I love food preparation, cardiovascularly-challenging sports and exploring any kind of new territory - emotional and physical.

I help individuals and organizations communicate their work, translating personal stories and company and institution missions into writing or audio. A good story told well can be a powerful beast.
